Hennepin County Seeking Applicants for 2 Open Seats on RPBCWD Board of Managers

The Hennepin County Board is looking for applicants for two vacancies on the Riley Purgatory Bluff Creek Watershed District Board. A member may not be a public officer of the county, state or federal government and must be a resident of the district. Portions of Bloomington, Deephaven, Eden Prairie, Minnetonka and Shorewood lie within the district. Members serve three-year terms. 

One of the most important responsibilities of the Watershed District is the preparation and implementation of a Plan for the management of the water and related land resources of the District. Project plans of private developers, the state, counties and cities must be submitted to the Watershed District Managers for review and approval. The District issues permits in order to protect the water and related land resources.
