Ease into the day with a 45-minute community yoga session designed to wake up the body and mind. Led by a local yoga teacher and volunteer water steward, this class invites connection to self, community, and nature.

Join us 11am on Sunday, June 7th at Lake Ann Park for an 11-mile bike tour along Bluff Creek. At stops along the way we’ll discover new things about Bluff Creek, the work the watershed district is undertaking to keep it clean, and what you can do to help. Lunch will be provided after the ride.

Monday, June 8th, 5:30 - 6:30pm
Rain barrels help reduce the amount of runoff flowing across your property by capturing and storing rainwater from your roof, which can then be reused to water your garden or irrigate your lawn. This workshop will walk you through how to convert a retired oak wine barrel into a beautiful rain barrel of your very own. Cost: $50.

Tuesday, June 9th, 5 - 9pm
Take your photography beyond auto mode in this hands-on workshop with professional photographer Don Tredinnick of Frozen Hiker Photography. Learn practical camera skills and creative techniques to help you capture better photos outdoors with confidence. After an indoor lesson, you'll head outdoors to Staring Lake Park to practice your new skills in the field. Cost: $5.

Thursday, June 11th, 5:30 - 7:30pm
Join us for a volunteer buckthorn bust! Riley Purgatory Bluff Creek Watershed District (RPBCWD) recently purchased a 28-acre property with plans to restore the site to native prairie and other habitats. This buckthorn removal event will target a small area of woodland overgrown with invasive buckthorn. Light refreshments will be provided.

Friday, June 12th, 6 - 8pm
Join RPBCWD and the Eden Prairie Outdoor Center for a Learn-to-Canoe Night on Staring Lake! Learn basic water safety before setting off on a lake paddle. Canoes can hold up to 4 people. A limited number of kayaks are available. Stick around after for s'mores around the fire. All skill levels welcome!

Saturday, June 13th, 8 - 9:30am & 10 - 11:30am
Join us for an Introduction to Birding Guided Walk at Purgatory Park in Minnetonka! All levels of experience are welcome. The event begins with a brief lesson on technique and local bird diversity, followed by a group walk to observe and learn about birds.
