Learn-to-Canoe Night

Event announcement for "Learn-to-Canoe Night" on June 12th, 6-8 PM at Staring Lake Outdoor Center by Riley Purgatory Bluff Creek.


Join RPBCWD and the Eden Prairie Outdoor Center for a Learn-to-Canoe Night on Staring Lake!

Learn the basics of paddling and water safety before heading out on the water. Canoes will launch every 15 minutes. Life jackets and equipment are provided. All skill levels welcome!

Please fill out one registration per canoe/kayak. Each canoe can hold up to 4 people (750 pound weight limit). Each kayak can accommodate 1 adult. You do not need to fill out the form for each attendee. 

Tandem adaptive kayaks are available for people who may have limited hand function, limited lower body movement or balance issues. Please contact Eleanor to request an adaptive kayak.

Due to limited capacity, this event is restricted to residents of one of the 7 cities of our watershed district: Eden Prairie, Chanhassen, Minnetonka, Bloomington, Chaska, Deephaven and Shorewood.
