Hennepin County Seeks Applicants for Two RPBCWD Board Openings
Hennepin County has two vacancies coming up on the board of managers for the Riley Purgatory Bluff Creek Watershed District (RPBCWD). They are seeking applicants for the positions which begin on August 1, 2025. All applicants must live within RPBCWD and Hennepin County. Find out if you live in the district: rpbcwd.org/map. Five managers govern the RPBCWD, which manages, protects, and restores water resources. Four managers are appointed by the Hennepin County Commissioners and one by the Carver County Commissioners. Managers serve three-year terms. To be eligible to apply for a manager position, you must live in the Riley Purgatory Bluff Creek Watershed District and the county in which there is a board opening.

To be eligible for the Hennepin County seat, an applicant must live within Hennepin County and RPBCWD.

Process: Qualified applicants will be asked by the county to provide a qualification statement the week of June 1, 2025. The recorded interview statement will be played during the Hennepin County Administration, Operations, and Budget Committee meeting on June 24, 2025.
Position term: August 1, 2025 - July 31, 2028 (three years)
