Michelle Gardner
Michelle joined RPBCWD in May of 2026. She serves as a central operational partner, bringing together finance, governance, administration, and employee support to help keep the organization running smoothly. She oversees financial and administrative functions while supporting the Board, strengthening day-to-day operations, and ensuring employees have the resources and support they need. Her background is in Business Management, with studies in Communications and Public Speaking at the College of St. Catherine. She has over 20 years of experience working in higher education and healthcare. She enjoys bringing organization, clarity, and thoughtful problem-solving to the many moving parts that keep an organization working effectively and responsibly.
Michelle's favorite part of her job is learning how important watersheds are to our environment, communities, and future generations. She is inspired by knowing that her work can help protect these resources and create a lasting impact long after she's gone. In her free time, Michelle enjoys swimming and is a strong advocate for water safety and lifelong learning. She believes swimming is an important life skill that everyone should have the opportunity to learn, regardless of age. She also enjoys walking, spending time outdoors, and grounding herself in nature.
