Leslie Stovring Appointed to RPBCWD Board of Managers, Tom Duevel ReappointedHennepin County has appointed Leslie Stovring to fill a seat on the RPBCWD Board of Managers. Stovring, a resident of Eden Prairie since 2010, holds a master's degree in Environmental & Public Health with a focus on water resources and limnology. Tom Duevel, current board Treasurer, was also reappointed for his second term on the Board of Managers.

New! Online lake level dashboard for Lotus, Lucy, and SusanThe Riley Purgatory Bluff Creek Watershed District partnered with the City of Chanhassen to install live lake level sensors on four lakes: Lotus, Lucy, and Susan, and Minnewashta. The sensors on these lakes collect data every hour and upload the data to the online dashboard about every 4-8 hours. The public can now view lake level data from these four lakes through the online lake level dashboard.
2025 Photo Contest OpenWe want to see your best photographs that feature our lakes, streams, parks, wildlife, plants, recreation, or anything else outdoors that inspires you! We're looking for photos of our watershed to feature in our 2026 wall calendar. $50 prize will be awarded to the winning cover photograph, and $20 prizes to the 12 monthly featured winning photographs. Submissions are due September 30th, 2025.
Stewardship Grant Applications OpenThe Stewardship Grant is a cost-share program that offers financial support and resources for clean water projects to residents and organizations in the watershed district. Examples include natural shoreline restorations, habitat restorations, alternatives to standard lawns, and stormwater best management practices such as rain gardens or tree trenches. Homeowners can receive up to 75% of their project cost up to $5,000.
Borrow a Buckthorn PullerTo assist with the control of invasive buckthorn within the watershed district, RPBCWD has two Uprooter tools available for loan with a $250 deposit. The deposit will be returned to you when you return the Uprooter in good condition. You may borrow the Uprooter for up to 10 days.
Become a CoCoRaHS VolunteerThe Community Collaborative Rain, Hail and Snow Network (CoCoRaHS) is a community-based network of more than 20,000 volunteers nationwide working together to measure and map precipitation. Volunteers take measurements of precipitation each time it rains or snows. These precipitation reports are then recorded online and used for water resource analysis.
